Worship is at the heart of Christian living and church membership. Public worship is when we are reminded of who we are, why we are here, and where we are headed. It is when the "family" gathers for fellowship and to be strengthened for daily discipleship in the world.

Worship at First Baptist Church of Fort Valley Baptist is traditional, comfortable and reverent. We follow a structure which calls us to worship; invites our praise; challenges and comforts us with the Word read, preached, demonstrated (the sacraments); sung (the anthem); and leads us in prayers of thanks and petition.

Worship Schedule

We worship every Sunday in the main sanctuary at 9:00am, 11:00am in The Fellowship Hall and Children's Church at 11:00am in the Children's Worship Center and at 6pm we have Small Groups meeting in various homes.  Sunday School for all ages starts at 10:00 a.m.

We offer a well staffed and caring nursery at each worship service for couples with young children.

We are blessed with excellent vocal and instrumental music to enrich our worship. Our various choirs share their musical gifts in worship. The handbell choirs present their musical offerings periodically in worship.

We have an excellent group of musicians in our Praise Band in the 11:00am service.
